Vijnot historical site is mixing with dust in Sindh

Vijnot historical site is located in Dahrki. Vijnot site has resemblance to Mohen-Jo-Daro [Indus Civilization]. Historical site is ruining and no one saves it.

Sindh cultural department team just paid its visit, team’s visit did not take action to protect this historical side.

Moreover, locals and influential persons have encroached upon the land of historical site, and some of them have done farming.

It is noted that many ancient things are found and collected by locals. After rain, ancient things got appeared and people collected them to sell in market. Ancient things are reported to have been given to outsiders.

Citizens and authors of Dahrki demanded that government should protect their historical site. It is painful to see a loss of historical site.

Silver coins, idols, and, earthen pots were found, said Farman Ali and Javed Ali Sher. Few years ago – when there was the pouring rain, locals discovered expensive things and idols, but they were unaware of importance ancient things, did not save them.

Dilorai was claimed to have built Vijnot daro. There was a place of Dilorai which has been vanished. Vijnot is in Dahrki is located at south, one of councils name is also Vijnot of which record is available at revenue department. Revenue department said that Vijnot area is approximately 50 acres.

Ancient idols and things were sold to Subhash Meghwar. He said that some researchers contacted him to collect idols for research. But, they have not returned him, yet.
