Diya Bheel, 44, a widow, was brutally murdered in Sinjhiro, a small town of Sanghar, district Sindh.
On December 27, her mutilated body was found in the fields. She was brutally murdered and beheaded: her face’s skin was peeled, and her breasts were chopped.
The police did not lodge the First Information Report (FIR), which was registered when the case was viral on Social Media. The case is registered under the sections on terrorism and murder.
The Rise News approached the victim’s family, which said that they had no idea who was involved in such a vicious murder. Her son Soomar Bheel narrated that his mother was collecting fodder and then asked his sister to take it home, as she had to finish the remaining work and afterward would come home.
The family found that the mother had not returned and went to find her after hours; they found her mutilated body in the fields. Doubts have been raised that she might have been killed elsewhere and then dumped in the fields.
The police formed a joint investigation team (JIT) to investigate the case, and it has yet to apprehend the culprits. After the case was viral on Social Media, the official authorities noticed the case.
She is survived by four children. In Sindh province, Hindus feel vulnerable – their minor girls are converted to Islam after abduction – are being killed – and their temples are unsafe.
