Ghulam Kareem Rajer, 21, first-year student at Sindh University goes missing for two days from Haider Chowk Hyderabad.
Ghulam Kareem belongs to poor family despite having difficulties. Kareem decided to continue his education and got admission at political department of Sindh University. He was selling watches at university and worked at University Café in order to assist his education.
Students who knew him, saying, he was hard worker and was not ashamed to work at local Dhaba. It is beyond them how Kareem goes missing.
“My son is educated and social activist who has a dream to establish school at Achhro Thar. Who has kidnapped him? Kareem is simple young man who is neither affiliated to political activities, nor has posted political comments. Even, my son was working at university in order to earn some amount and support his studies,” says Kareem Rajer, father of Ghulam Kareem.
He showed his doubts that his son might be kidnapped by encroachers because he was a petitioner at Supreme Court against encroachers who had been cutting our forests. They [encroachers] had tried to pressurize him by lodging fake FIRs [First Information Reports], later, it was established all cases were fake.
“I want to save environment of Sindh.” Now, my son goes missing and we have been looking for him for two days. He urged administration of Sindh University to help me find his son.
Imdad Chandio, spokesperson at Human Rights Commission of Pakistan at Hyderabad, said that he did not know about Ghulam Kareem Rajper case. If it happens, university and Sindh government must look into case. Wondered, how student was disappeared when University had deployed Rangers.
This is an age of technology and government should have advanced equipment to recover person.
