Sind government approves Sindh Hindu Marriage Rules
Hindu Marriage Bill was passed in 2017, and its rules have been approved on 21st November, 2018.
According to Hindu Marriage Bill, age limit is 18 for marriage, second marriage is allowed, and bill outlines couples for divorce. Through this Bill, Hindu citizens can register their marriage.
To question, Hinduism doesn’t permit divorce – how this bill allows it. Jai Parkash Moorani, senior journalist, has been working on bill, says, “These rules have given a life to bill. Hindu Marriage Bill can challenge cases of forced conversion in the court.” People will have documentary proof of their marriage.
After decades, this is a milestone achievement “Hindu Marriage Bill” by Sindh government.
