Tangwani: Tangwani local court has ordered that Kaveeta Odh should be shifted to Kandhkot safe house. Kaveeta was presented before local court in Tangwani, city Kashmore. The court will record her statement tomorrow.
Kaveeta’s father Takhat spoke to The Rise News that he was not allowed to meet her daughter, neither did any government official talk to him. “I was waiting outside the court. I did not know about what happened because the local police had asked us to wait.”
Veerji Kohli who is Sindh Chief Minister’s special assistant and a lawyer also attended the hearing and spoke to media that he had hoped; the court would do justice as a girl was minor. According to child marriage restraint act, no child should be married till turned 18.

In video, she was seen wearing Hijab and some religious people chanting slogans “Allah U Akbar.” It was said that religious group wanted to influence the decision.
Kaveeta, 13, was kidnapped from her home on 7th March, 2021 and then converted to Islam at Bhurchudni. Parents were threatened to not register the case, but they did register case and demanded their daughter should be returned, soon.
